What is the PADI Open Water Diver Course?
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most recognized diving certification program worldwide. Upon completion, you'll earn a license that allows you to dive to a depth of 18 meters anywhere in the world, without direct supervision.

Our course is divided into three main modules:
- Theoretical Training : You'll learn the basic principles of diving, including breathing techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols. This section can be completed through online study or in-person sessions in our fully equipped classrooms.
- Confined Water Practice : In a calm sea area, you'll put the skills you've learned into practice in a controlled environment, familiarizing yourself with the equipment and the sensations underwater.
- Open Water Dives : You will make a minimum of four dives in the Mediterranean Sea, applying what you have learned and exploring the rich marine ecosystems of the region.

- Be 10 years old (although for students aged 10 to 14, the title is temporarily called Junior Open Water).
- Complete the five segments of theoretical knowledge including quizzes and final exam
- Complete all 5 confined water dives
- Meet the evaluation requirements for aquatic techniques
- Complete all 4 open water dives

Once the course has been paid for, you will first begin the self-study theoretical portion. The process is as follows:
Once we have all your information, you'll receive a confirmation email from PADI with the material you'll need to study on your own. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need any clarification during your study period.
Once you've studied, you can take the exam online and contact us for in-water practice sessions (if a date hasn't been previously set).

Practice
Once the theoretical exam has been passed, all practical exercises are carried out over two full days (usually Saturday and Sunday).
To keep in mind for these two days:
- We have showers and lockers available to store your belongings.
- It is recommended to bring food although there are also several bars and restaurants around.
- Parking is available (approximately €3/hour for a fee) at the Olympic Port, but it is recommended to come by public transport (Olympic Village stop).
- Plans may be affected by weather.
End of Course and Certification
End of Course and Certification
Once you've completed your in-water sessions (and all the theory has been completed), you'll be certified as an Open Water Diver, an international PADI certification that enables you to dive to a recommended depth of 18m worldwide with a buddy.
We'll process your PADI certification application (all included in the price), and you'll receive your digital certification.
